Mission, Vision & Manifesto
Manifesto for a Fairer AI World
We recognise that AI and its eventual transition into AGI will be an inflexion point in the history of the human race and its ability to shape the World we live in. This technology, if it is deployed equitably worldwide, can bring immense benefits by resolving many of the existential threats facing humans and by helping deliver a more sustainable, fairer and safer world for all. This can be done by making AI benefits accessible to all -especially to those unserved billions across the developing world
However, there will necessarily be a transition period when severe disruption will occur in every business and every organisation in every country and AI will adversely affect many businesses displace millions of knowledge workers while robotics will displace most of the individuals doing manual, repetitive work.
There are around 360 million businesses ( 220 million in the Global South ) registered around the world that could improve their productivity and profitability if they could integrate AI into their business processes. At the same time, apart from the millions of workers who will be displaced, there are 40 million unemployed graduates ( 30 million in the Global South ) who currently struggle to earn any income. This is a dreadful waste of smart human talent that could and should be deployed more productively for the benefit of such businesses, the individuals concerned and for the general betterment of society and economic development of their countries.
The availability of numerous no-code or low -code options and ease of creating AI agents with all of the recent ai models now makes it possible even for non-programmers to develop AI products, services and applications and become AI entrepreneurs. If people could be trained in use of such low -code platforms, businesses can improve profitability and individuals can earn income, start new careers as AI-product developers or even become AI entrepreneurs developing and selling their own AI products. There is significant societal benefit and such businesses and individuals will not only survive but thrive in the new AI Era that we are entering and help in the economic development of their countries.
Although most jobs will be lost, a new types of jobs or careers will emerge which will offer opportunities for those willing to learn new AI skills that could provide them with secure well-paid jobs which will be in high demand for the next decade.
This can provide them, either with fulfilling continued employment using AI in their existing jobs or provide opportunities to start new well-paid careers as “AI entrepreneurs” developing or applying their own AI products or services. These are likely to be the only types of employment that will be needed when AI displaces all knowledge workers and robotics displaces all manual work in the AI era .
Our Vision
A world where the benefits of AI and AGI are shared equitably across all the Peoples of the World so that the Digital Divide is reduced significantly and all businesses and societies in the developing world thrive in the AI era allowing the developing world to leapfrog forward to a better, safer and healthier life for all. We intend that our members will be amongst leaders of the army of AI entrepreneurs who thrive in this envirionment and make their fortunes while helping to deliver a world of Abundance for all.
We started building the AI-agent developers / AI-entrepreneurs community by establishing Facebook and Linkedin groups and the 19500+ persons already active in those groups will be encouraged to join IAAD as the umbrella organisation under which they can share knowledge , exchanging information and develop their skills for the AI era.
To facilitate. encourage and expand significantly, the numbers of AI entrepreneurs, IAAD is establishing a sister organisation, the World AI Academies Association ( WAAA) to bring together AI academies from around the world so they can share resources, improve the quality of training and improve their profitability. IAAD is also working with government officials in the Global AI Advocates Network (GAAN) and external organisations to lobby the UN, World bank and other Development banks to establish a Global Fund to finance central development of AI entrepreneurship courses and National Ai Entrepreneurship training iniitiatives in each country . These 3 networks IAAD, WAAA and GAAN will collaborate with others to create the army of AI entrepreneurs that are needed if the developing world is to maximise its benefits from AI
