The International Association of AI-agent Developers (IAAD ) is being established in recognition that a new profession is emerging because of the developments in ever more powerful Large Language Models (LLMs) and the increasing capabilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI ).
AI can already do conventional computer programming more quickly and more accurately than human programmers and apart from programmers will also replace many other knowledge and creative jobs. However AI also brings new types of jobs and an increasingly important job in the coming Decade will be that of AI products and services developers.
As AI capability improves it has become increasingly more possible to develop ever more powerful individual and teams of “AI -agents” to carry out many of the functions and tasks previously done by humans . This proliferation of AI-agents can help businesses and individuals to automate many tasks , functions and services and to transform their activities to improve productivity and profitability.
These advances will occur because of the efforts of a new profession of AI- agent developers . They develop products, services and ai -agents that can carry out tasks for an individual or within a business leaving the human workers more time to increase their productivity or to do the more complicated tasks requiring human qualities. IAAD will represent, promote and service the needs of this new profession.
IAAD will adopt a Global perspective in its work of developing and promoting this new profession so that it fulfils a useful function in democratising and spreading the benefits of AI to all societies around the World. It will also deliberately encourage unemployed graduates and displaced knowledge workers to take advantage of no code plaforms to learn the skills to join this profession and to join IAAD
