Membership Types & Grades

There are 5 grades of membership  as listed below and fees have been set at very low levels to make IAAD  accessible to as many potential members as possible. There are no fees charged to students who are still studying and heavily discounted fees are charged to  for unemployed graduates and associate members and for those from the developing world. Fees are  paid as annual subscriptions.  Membership categories 1-3  are admitted automatically into IAAD  but those applying  to become Members or Fellows must also complete a brief questionnaire so that their AI related experience and expertise can be reviewed /assessed by an IAAD  membership committee. Anyone with reasonable , proven experience of having developed AI  products , services or agents is eligible for membership grade.  Fellowship grade is  normally awarded only to those considered to be  leading experts in the field of AI.  As a special dispensation for early supporters, we are permitting personal applications for Fellow grade during a short grace period  while the IAAD is being established. In future, once IAAD is fully operational, Fellows will not be able to apply directly  or nominate themselves. They will have to be nominated by a current  IAAD  member via a special application form ( available on request ) with supporting signatures from 5 other IAAD current members who can attest to the expertise and standing  of such persons in the field of AI   The membership grades are

1  students still studying   (IAAD-SM)

2 unemployed Graduates (incl displaced office workers)  (IAAD-GM)

3 Associate Members    (IAAD-AM)

4 Members   (IAAD-M)

5 Fellows     (IAAD-F)
